"Optimization of Isogrid Structure with NX Nastran Solution 200"
An isogrid is a plate with integral stiffening ribs arranged in a triangular pattern. The "iso" prefix refers to the plate's isotropic properties. The equivalent membrane thickness, the bending moment of inertia ratio, and transverse shear thickness ratio for the Nastran PSHELL card can be computed from the isogrid dimensions (NASA CR-124075). The equations for computing these PSHELL properties have been implemented in Solution 200 using DVPREL2 and DEQATN cards facilitating optimization of the isogrid plate's dimensions (face sheet thickness, rib thickness, rib height, and cell size) without modifying the underlying mesh, thereby saving a considerable amount of time.

Section 2: Memory and Disk Considerations
This presentation will discuss the current disk and memory considerations for NX Nastran. It will discuss utilizing hardware resources effectively to improve NX Nastran execution time.
